Dalbergia is founded with three directors and six staff members, with offices in London, Peterborough and Manchester.

2017

Launch of Dalbergia Project Services to deliver project & cost management work.

2019

Appointment of Jon Thorn as Director of Dalbergia Project Services.

2020

Successfully navigate the challenges of COVID-19 with minimal impact. A three-year plan is set for the growth of the project & cost management business to become a significant (25%) part of the business.

2021

Mark Munnelly appointed as second project & cost management Director and Leeds office opens.

2022

Achieve original £5m turnover goal.

2023

Dalbergia Project Services becomes 25% of the overall business by reaching its £1m turnover target.

2024

Bristol office opens, 1,000th project completed, and ISO 9001 certification achieved.

2025

A new management structure is established, with 5 board Directors and 3 Regional Directors, our 10th anniversary is celebrated and the Dalbergia brand is relaunched.

Paul has over 28 years experience in construction spending the past 19+ years leading consultancy teams providing due diligence & monitoring service to banks and investors. Responsible for commissions in the Southwest of England, London, Wales and the M4 Corridor together with leadership of major development commissions. Paul is responsible for day to day financial control of Dalbergia Group.

Simon is one of the founding Director’s of Dalbergia and leads the Peterborough office. Simon has worked in the construction industry since 1996, and has been advising banks and funders on property development since 2002 His background encompasses a number of disciplines ranging from client side Project Management and Project Recovery to Contractor side roles, giving him a unique insight into all aspects of making a project successful.

Richard is an RICS chartered surveyor with over 15 years experience in the construction industry. Richard is a Director providing due diligence and monitoring surveying services within Dalbergia, focusing upon the South- East and Midlands regions. He has experience on new build and refurbishment projects producing distribution warehouses, schools, care homes, PBSA, hotels and residential schemes.

Mark has worked with some of the world’s leading clients both in the UK and Middle East helping to deliver challenging and complex projects. With over 20 years’ experience, predominantly in the commercial and infrastructure sectors, Mark has spent the last 10 years in the North of England delivering award winning projects and establishing excellent working relationships with clients and consultants across various sectors.

Jon heads Dalbergia Group’s Project and Cost Management service, leveraging extensive experience from past roles at Gardiner & Theobald, Turner & Townsend, Cushman & Wakefield, and AECOM. With a broad background in construction and real estate at international firms, he excels in all development stages, from feasibility studies to project closeout, across diverse procurement and contracting methods for public and private clients.
